Captain

Nicholas Veselica

Captain Nick was born in Chicago, IL. Captain Nick spent most of his childhood in Northwest Indiana just outside of the city. During his youth he would sail in Lake Michigan with his father on their small Hobie Cat. In middle school Nick and his father rebuilt a 36’ Island Spirit Catamaran in South Florida. During this time Nick’s love for the ocean and cruising grew drastically. Nick’s father would take his family down to Florida and Bahamas to sail for many summers and holidays. This hobby eventually transformed Nicks life direction. Nick eventually moved to Florida, where he received his bachelor’s in business administration at Lynn University. During his time in college, he would sail around Florida and the Bahamas with his friends and family. While in school he worked many jobs in the marine industry, which eventually propelled him to get his captains license and start running boats. After college Nick became the Fleet Manager and Fleet Captain for Yacht Management South Florida where he ran client boats and oversaw their maintenance programs for three years. Also, during this time, he assisted the owner in starting a shipyard to service their fleet. Nick has completed numerous refits, including 3 major refits ranging from 80’-120’. After his time with Yacht Management, he became the full-time Captain for M/Y Charisma 120’ Custom Danube. He did this for 4 years before moving to M/Y SEA AXIS in 2019. Nicholas has created, along with his spectacular team, one of the busiest charter programs in the Bahamas and enjoys everyday out at sea. The colors of the Bahamas and Caribbean waters never stop amazing him.

Education: Bachelor’s in Business Management, STCW, Advanced firefighting, 200 Ton USGC / 500 Ton IGT.

1st Mate

Bryan Meltcher

Bryan was born in Bloomington Ill, before he was 1 years old, his family moved out to Mission Veijo, OC, and Huntington Beach. California is where he lived for 12 years before he moved back to Bloomington. He played golf his whole childhood to his high school career while on the Varsity team. He graduated from Central Catholic High school and moved to south Florida for college. He completed his degree in Sports Management and Hospitality at Lynn University. He then was introduced to yachting from a friend and has not looked back since. He love anything outdoors, traveling, exploring, and learning anything about his next destination. Bryan receives pure enjoyment by making people laugh and smile while making sure everyone is safe and sound in his presents. He is adventurous tour guide on Beach Axis, and loves to be asked question. Bryan has learned a lot throughout his journey being onboard Sea Axis over the past 3 years .The industry has pushed me to further my career by becoming a captain one day and running my own program in the near future. He Looks forward to creating a once in a life time adventure for our guests onboard.

Chief Stewardess

Natalie

Natalie grew up in Cape Town, which is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast. Natalie’s upbringing has largely been influenced around the love for the ocean. Her passion gave her the freedom to explore and gain experience in swimming and diving. After she completed sports coaching, and dive certifications in these areas, she looked to expand her horizons. She was drawn to the yachting industry to take on new challenges and keen sense of adventure. Natalie’s professionalism, positivity and outgoing personality will make you feel right at home onboard any vessel. In her spare time she enjoy anything fitness and outdoor related activities, she also loves exploring new cities by foot and discovering hidden spots off the beaten track. Natalie looks forward to ensuring that your destination dreams come true onboard Sea Axis and that you have unforgettable memories, etched on your heart.

Chef

Nelson

Originally from Queens New York. Upon graduating from high school, Nelson enlisted in the US Army where he served 6 years of active duty service decided. After leaving the service, Nelson attended the University of Central Florida where he studied finance and completed his degree. Finding that he hated every minute of studying finance Nelson decided to make a change and enroll in Culinary school to follow his passion for cooking. The journey has taken him to several interesting locations around the world. Nelson has been on motor yachts as a Temp. Chef for 4 years after having spent a year as a full time Chef in the Leeward and Windward islands. Currently Nelson lives in Delay Beach, Florida where in his spare time he flips houses and cooks for a living.

Second Stewardess

Lauren

Lauren hails from the coastal New England state of Massachusetts, in the USA. She attended college in Boston, where she earned her degree in Nursing. After specializing in pediatrics for four years, she took to the sea. Lauren is every bit quirky & creative! Some of her favourite pastimes include kayaking, snorkelling and hiking. Being a huge foodie, she loves cooking and wine tasting. Her long-term goals include specializing in labour & delivery as well as running an eco-retreat focused on holistic health. Lauren looks forward to giving guests a unique and memorable experience onboard.

Deckhand

Cameron

Cam originally comes from a small town in Southern Indiana called Evansville. He’s always had a strong work ethic since the age of 14 when he was able to legally work. He moved to Fort Lauderdale, in 2014 to pursue his yachting career. Cam enjoys water sports, exploring islands and anything that has to do with him using his athleticism; you may catch Cam doing a backflip off of the boat deck or cruising around with guests on the tender and finding new spots to enjoy. He loves to joke around and have a good time and ensures the guests have the best trip to remember for a lifetime.

Engineer

Jerome

Jerome comes from a small parish called Saint Andrew. Situated southeast of Jamaica. He has worked at sea since he was 24 years old. He enjoyed a distinguished career in the merchant marine obtaining his Class III/1 COC.He sailed as Engineer officer of the watch on several types of cargo ships; bulk carriers, tankers, tug boats, container and general cargo. Jerome has a very calm nature, logical, positive and well thought approach to engineering problem solving and troubleshooting. Jerome transit from commercial ships over into yachting in 2017 where he integrated his ship engineering experience into the yachting industry.
